

Gourmet Grilled Cheese with Olevano Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Ingredients:
2 slices of sourdough or your favorite bread
2 tbsp Olevano extra virgin olive oil
½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 tsp Dijon mustard (optional, for extra flavor)
¼ tsp garlic powder (optional)
1 tbsp butter (for extra richness, optional)
Instructions:
Prepare the Bread: Brush one side of each bread slice with Olevano extra virgin olive oil. This will give it a crispy golden crust.
Assemble the Sandwich: Place the shredded cheddar and mozzarella on the unbrushed side of one bread slice. Add a thin spread of Dijon mustard and a sprinkle of garlic powder if desired. Top with the second bread slice, olive oil side facing out.
Grill It: Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-low heat. Place the sandwich in the pan and cook for 3-4 minutes until golden brown. Press down lightly with a spatula.
Flip & Finish: Flip the sandwich and cook for another 3-4 minutes until crispy and the cheese is melted. If needed, add a small amount of butter to the pan for extra richness.
Serve & Enjoy: Let it rest for a minute before slicing. Serve with tomato soup or a side salad for a complete meal!
